Team Information:
Lax Elite is comprised of Elite club teams from different regions. We have expanded into many regions and wanted to differentiate our regional club teams.
Lax Elite will field 4 teams this year at the U18 level. We will also field a rising sophomore and junior team.
Lax Elite will only field High School division teams this year.
We will carry 22 players per team. We limit our teams to 22 players to provide the best recruiting experience possible.
Our fees are based on tournament costs. Our U-18 team costs are 1495.00 and our U-16 team fees are 1095.00.
Refund Policy
Player Fees are refundable according to the Refund Policy. The Player Application Fees are non-refundable. Lax Elite must be contacted by telephone within 24 hours of your payment, and must recieve by US Postal Mail a formal refund request in writing within 5 business days of your telephone notification. Lax Elite
Once our teams are selected the tryout jersey numbers and names will be added to our roster on the website.
All of our teams are selected from a tryout. We select our teams based on their ability. We match up the players according to their evaluation performance grade.
If you and your friend are capable of playing on the same team together we will try to insure that happens.
Our coaches select the players to their teams based on their evaluation grade.
Teams are selected by the coaches immediately following the tryouts.
If you do not make one of our teams in a particular season you are still eligible to tryout throughout the year for our other programs.
Tryout Information:
Tryouts for Baltimore Elite Lacrosse Club will be announced on the main page of the website.
At each of our tryouts we will allow 15 minutes for question and answer sessions. During those sessions you may ask questions of our coaches and directors regarding the recruiting process. We will provide a brief overview of the recruiting process first and then allow for questions. If you feel your questions were not answered you can email our organization director Ron Gurnsey and he will direct any questions he cannot answer to the appropriate member of our team.
Tournament Information:
Our teams will attend three to four tournaments.
We select our tournaments based on the type of tournament it is and the caliber of teams attending the tournaments. We will only send our teams to top caliber tournaments that other top caliber teams are attending.
Travel:
We typically will travel to two tournaments which will require hotel stays.
Our fees do not include travel expenses.
We have a travel agent that will make all of your hotel arrangements for you or you are free to book them yourself. We work with a travel agent to obtain the best fees possible and to assist with keeping all of our players in the same hotels.
Coaching:
Our coaches will be announced on the website as they are selected.
Coaches are selected by the club directors. We select coaches based on their knowledge of the game.
Do
the Coaches stay with the Players?
Our coaches will often stay at the same hotel as the players however they aren't responsible for the players once they leave the field. The players remain the responsibility of the parents for transportation to and from the tournaments and before and after the games. The coaches are being paid for their lacrosse knowledge and for transferring that knowledge to the players.
Practices:
We will have practices or may replace them with games and or scrimmages in order to provide additional instruction.
Practice locations will be announced as soon as our teams are assembled.
Practices are not mandatory but are highly recommended.
Camps and Clinics:
Lax Elite does have camps and our registered members have first preference to those camps.
Lax Elite is not in the clinic business. We will seek out the best possible clinics for you based on your position or what you are looking for.
Lax Elite has a large database of coaches they can refer you to and will try to set up sessions for you based on you your needs. The fees for these clinics will be the responsibility of the player.
Uniforms:
BELAX uniform colors are Red, Gold, Black and White.
All numbers are assigned to a name and handed out to each player prior to the first game. Once a number is assigned it is important that players do not switch numbers as our rosters are provided to the recruiting tournament directors to provide to the collegiate coaches. Once you step on a field with that number you become known to the coaches as the team name and player number on that particular team. Our numbers start at 1 and go through 25 on each team so that if a coach contacts us about a particular number in our organization for a particular team we will know who they are referring to.

Lax Elite has been involved with club lacrosse for eight years. We have witnessed the explosion of teams in the club lacrosse venue. We are dedicated to providing the best possible experience to our players. While there are a lot of club teams around we pride ourselves on providing the best opportunity to continue your lacrosse carerr in college. We pay top level coaches to handle our teams and make you better players. We only select the best tournaments for our players based on their skill level. Tournaments where they will be seen by college coaches. Many tournaments do not have collegiate coaches in attendance and the club fees for those tournaments are far less expensive because of it. If you are looking for a club team to get your son recruited into college and are going with another club because it is cheaper make certain you are sending them to the appropriate clubs and that the club you select is attending recruiting tournaments.
Member Benefits:
If you would like to get involved you can register on the registration portal as a helper. Please add to the comments section what you would like to assist with.
Your membership and registration is good for the calendar year in which you registered. If you registered in November of the previous calendar year please send us an email so we can insure that it is applied appropriately.
While in season it is expected that our players will only play for our teams. We keep our teams small and limit their numbers to provide for a better experience and opportunity for our players. If a player has a conflicting schedule and cannot make one of our tournaments because they were playing for another team we reserve the right to replace that player with another player without refund.
Lax Elite is not affiliated with any bigger, faster, stonger programs but we are researching the need to associate ourselves with one.
Lax Elite is in communications with a couple of different organizations that may help in this area.
Lax Elite does not have sponsors at this time.
Lax Elite realizes there are other competitive teams in the lacrosse community and we understand that they may attempt to entice players away from our program. Players are free to come and go as they please outside the current season they are participating in.
As a member benefit we can create an advertising page on our site and add advertising for business owners who are members of Lax Elite. Please provide company contact information and your logo if you would like for us to create a page and add your advertising. |
